Preliminary investigations indicate that the Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling eastbound on State Highway 332 when it crossed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with the Chrysler Pacifica. The force of the impact caused catastrophic damage to both vehicles and prompted a significant emergency response from multiple agencies.

Tonja Potts, of Hallettsville, was driving the Chrysler Pacifica at the time of the collision. Patricia Jan Brozozowski, of West Columbia, was a passenger in the vehicle. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, both women were pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 9-year-old child traveling in the Chrysler survived the crash but sustained serious injuries. The child was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment, where family members and friends continue to pray for recovery and healing during the difficult days ahead.

Authorities identified the occupants of the Chevrolet Tahoe as 33-year-old David Oscar Turner and 35-year-old Khrystyna Leevon Hanner, both of Van Vleck.
